Today, I am entering the world of blogging. I’ve decided to blog so I can meet like-minded people who are interested in spirituality, meditation and holistic living. I hope it will assist me as a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking to bring inner peace to myself and others. I have a lot to share and hope to be talking about how my life has transformed through meditation and how I am learning more each day about my life’s purpose and how to really enjoy each day. In the past year, many events showed me how precious life is from breast cancer, my brother’s death, and the loving support of my family and friends to creating my debut book In Silence.
My book, to be released in the fall 2008, In Silence, Discovering Self through Meditation, is a big step to sharing some of my spiritual experiences that have been awesome, but the Universe continues to show and express new ways of being and always leaves me in great wonderment. Whenever I think, “I know that or I get it,” I’m shown through my meditations that I really have been given only a small amount to comprehend. But I think that I have been given some special pieces of the puzzle for daily holisitic living and I look forward to sharing what I have learned and experienced in my book, my blog and my websites http://www.goldenlightcentre.com and http://www.in-silence.net
I visual this blog to be interactive with articles, polls, interviews, book reviews, art/poetry, and most of all, to be an avenue to connect with new people who want to share their spiritual experiences or have questions that I or others may be able to assist you with finding the answers. We’ll see how it unfolds!
So I begin my blog and I see it as a new adventure as I learn how to use it (more techie stuff to learn)and share with others.
I have some questions to begin.
“How did you ‘wake up’ to knowing your spiritual self. What do the words “wake up” mean to you? Did a certain event happen when you awakened?
I welcome you to my blog and hope that you will share your thoughts and visit often.
Peacefully,
Jane Rosalea Booth

What does “wake up” mean?
That question’s a lifetime to answer.
I’m just beginning to learn watchfulness, and I’m trying to think of something useful to say.
We don’t truly wake up when there is noise around us or in it–we need quiet.

Jane,
Congratulations of beginning your blogging journey!
For me, being “awake” means being present in the now. The more aware I am of this moment, the more awake I am.

Hi Judy, Yes, being in the now allows me to truly focus and enjoy everthing that is happening. What I was wondering about was what event or happening occurred to “wake” you up to this realization. Do you recall a significant event?
