My thanks to all the people who visited my booth at the 3rd Annual Christmas Gift Show in Meaford yesterday.  It was a wonderful day full of people with smiling faces.  Meaford is a small town so many of the people knew one another and there was lots of laughter.  Children loved looking at all the interesting gifts and baked goodies.  Thanks to Angela Tulloch for organizing it for us. 

At the show, ladies began signing up to receive information on my spring and fall Peaceful Path Retreats for Women.  If you would like to be notified about these retreats, please let me know.  I look forward to sharing more awesome retreat time with you.

 After listening to President Obama last night, I saw that the only way we think we can influence those who want to terrorize is to overpower and conquer them.  It may stop terrorism for the moment, but history shows us that war does not sustain peace.  I understand the need to end terrorism, but what we really need is for each of us to learn how to create peace in our  own lives and families, in our communities and countries and to have a vision of global peace.  The videos below offer an ancient way to create change that can create a sustainable peace.  

 The power of peace can be felt as individuals and groups create a unified field of consciousness of peace.  Quantum physics is discovering how powerful this field is.  Vedic science has known this truth from ancient times.

 Here are tw0 videos that are very interesting about quantum physics and peace. As you meditate and live peacefully, you are making a difference in our world.  When we join as a group, our thoughts and prayers are greatly magnified.  When we shine our Light the darkness disappears.

As I looked out of my window this morning I saw our first snow fall.  It looked so beautiful. I laughed at my dog as she wasn’t sure what was on the ground and took careful steps as she first walked onto the lawn in the backyard, but soon she remembered this ‘white stuff’ and began to run around.  Although our backyard had suddenly changed into winter, it has a new beauty and calmness.  Change is constant as our lives evolve. We can make positive changes each day to make our lives peaceful.  Embrace the changes in your life and enjoy the unfolding mystery with love in your heart. Do something different today that will bring you and others joy!

Someone e-mailed me the other day and wrote that they were having a problem with forgiveness.  He sees all the horrible crimes being commited in the world, past and present, and cannot forgive those who are responsible.  He understands the importance of forgiveness but still has difficulty with it.

Holding on to past patterns, grievances and anger limits your possibilities.  To allow your soul to evolve into wholeness, you must surrender these old thoughts and feelings and replace them with forgiveness and love.  This means forgiving yourself and others in your past.  Reach into their soul and know that it needs love, forgiveness and healing too.

The most difficult time that I have had is forgiving myself.  I know that people were upset by decisions that I have made in my life.  They did not understand why I would change my life.  They thought that I did not love them anymore.  I have never stopped loving them, but I needed to be true to myself and feelings.  At times, I have felt very lost and insignificant.  I was often lost in a whirl wind of work, activities and events, but my heart and soul wanted peace and love. I wanted to grow and learn and feel a sense of personal freedom where I could make my own choices and be responsible for myself.  I wanted freedom.

Well, those thoughts led me to having to ‘let go’ of old patterns and ways of living.  I have learned over the years to forgive those who did not understand me.  Forgiving myself has been more difficult and I still am working at really loving myself.  I surrender all these old ways to God and am open to new ways each day, new people and new adventures. 

In surrender,  I feel a sense of freedom in this moment as I release and forgive.  Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Let go and be free.  Through forgiveness, I experience true unconditional love.  Surrender is freedom.  I know everything is unfolding for my highest good. Everyday I am given opportunities to love more fully.  Through surrender, God is revealed in my life. God is pure love.

In the Beloved Community, where I was ordained as a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking, we talked about the process of Surrender, Trust and Gratitude to open to God’s love so our lives are peaceful.  In my book In Silence, I wrote, “Surrender, trust, love…the universe will radiate blessings to you.” 

Surrender is freedom.  Let go today and be free. 

Today’s affirmation:  I release my old patterns.  I forgive myself and others.  I surrender…I am free.”
