Chief Dan George, OC (July 24, 1899 – September 23, 1981) was a chief of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, a Coast Salish band whose Indian reserve is located on Burrard Inlet in the southeast area of the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He was also an actor (Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman) poet and author; his best-known written work was “My Heart Soars”.

He has left us some beautiful thoughts about connecting with nature.

“The beauty the trees, the softness of the air, the fragrance of the grass, they speak to me.

The summit of the mountain, the thunder of the sky, the rhythm of the sea, speaks to me.

The faintness of the stars, the freshness of the morning, the dewdrop on the flower, speaks to me.

The strength of the fire, the taste of the salmon, the trail of the sun, and the life that never goes away, they speak to me.

And my heart soars.”

Chief Dan George

What will speak to you today as you tap into the beauty of nature?  We are finally hearing our Robins singing in our backyard and forests!  They make my heart lift and soar.

May your heart soar today in many wondrous ways!

Peacefully, Jane

Spring Equinox pic 4

Spring Equinox Walk – Stillness in the Spring Morning

This morning I walked along Georgian Bay (part of the Great Lake Huron) but it did not look like spring had arrived. Instead I was treated to this wonderful view that looked like pyramids on the ice.  Everything was still as the water was frozen near the shoreline. But these wondrous formations fascinated me.  A lady who has lived in this area since a child said they were water spouts.  Sure enough as I looked carefully the center top of each ‘pyramid’ was open.  She said the water spouts out of the pyramids that she called ‘water spouts’.  No water was spouting this morning but I would love to see the water spouting out of them.

As I neared home, I saw some small green sprouts poking through the ground where the snow had melted.  Yes, spring had arrived!

I love Japanese Haiku poetry.  I wrote this one about the arrival of Spring.

May you soak up the feelings of stillness on this Spring Equinox. It is when we enter our stillness that we begin to experience feelings of renewal, hope and new beginnings that the energy of the light of the Spring Equinox brings.  The Equinox invites us to create balance and harmony and to move with the natural rhythms of the universe.  Take a few moments to meditate or reflect and allow your mind and heart to open to something new and allow it to grow.

May the radiant Spring blessings of light fill your heart with peace and warmth,

Peacefully,  Jane

Meaning of Paneurhythmy Movements  (Author Unknown)

Quotes from Peter Dueno (Beinsa Douno)– Video Produced in 1997  Rila Mountains Bulgaria

Paneurhythmy is a harmonious creative manifestation of the Divine in the universe. Paneurthymy is the great universal harmony of movement in the whole cosmos.  The Master Peter Duenov, known as Bensa Buino, gave the music and the movement of Paneurthymy. At the time when the master Peter Duenov was physically present on the earth several original books were published in various languages. Panuery. Music, Sunbeams, Pan Movement and Music.

The Master Peter Duenov has linked spiritual principals with practical methods for opening our awareness in our physical bodies. The Divine Harmony is embodied in the sacred movement called Paneurhythmy. By means of it we human beings can experience our place in the Divine order.   We can experience within ourselves balance, healing, harmony, renewed energy and peace. Side by side we develop the high levels of conscious we will need in the time to come.  We radiate this consciousness throughout the world just as the wind blows and the water flows.    We move step by step into conscious harmony with all creation as we join our partners in the circle of Paneurthymy.

“Paneurhythmy is a vast Science which will be studied in the future. Its Knowledge will be fully applied to the implementation of the Great Law which will preserve the PEace and Harmony within the human soul. To this end, I have placed this Science – the Key to my Teaching – in your hands. When you dance Paneurhythmy the right way, the positive forces of Nature will flow through you, connecting one with the other, and connecting with the boundless, Cosmic Circle of Sentient Beings.” Beinsa Douno

“The source of life is Love. Love brings the fullness of life. Life becomes real when man comes to know Love. If man does not understand Love, he cannot understand life. If he does not understand life, he cannot understand time, in which life flows as a continuous process. And if he does not understand time, he will lose the musical rhythm of life and fall into a series of inharmonious conditions, which will cause him much unhappiness.

All worlds, through all eternity, have come forth and shall come forth from the Source of Love. Love is the most beautiful being. All worlds, through all eternity, have come forth and shall come forth from the Source of Love. Only love can awaken within the soul its hidden potentialities. Science and art cannot be the stimuli for the awakening of the human soul. This is temporary knowledge.

The only true work in the world is the science of Love. It is the great object of learning for the soul. When man becomes conscious of love as a great and mighty power, his soul and spirit awaken, and he enters into actual connection with the physical, the spiritual, and divine worlds. Only through love can man understand the relationship that exists between these worlds, as well as the meaning of life. It is written in the Scripture: “Thou shall Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbor as thyself.” Peter Duenov

The First Day of Spring – Movements 1-10

  • Awakening

The great, the mighty in the world which is awakening the human mind and heart is presence of God.   We become powerful and new ideas are born within us.  We are now in that epic.  It is an art for a person to know how to awaken the Divine in ourselves and to make way for it.

  • Reconciliation or Harmony

Only those who are awakened, aware and humble may create something and bear fruit.  If you do not wake yourself up you cannot work. If you do not reconcile yourself your work will be fruitless.

  • Giving

Reconciliation cannot be obtained if there is no giving.  First we have to begin by giving.  If we do not learn the Law of Giving which is the 1st Divine Law,  we will never learn the art of receiving. When you give with love and receive with love, you grow and develop correctly.

  • Ascending

Ascending gives people joy. When descending people undergo suffering which develops their spiritual depth.  This depth corresponds to the height that they have risen.  If there is no descending, people would know no delight but remain at the same stage of development.

  • Elevation

When we move towards God we have to take something. Moving downward we bring the blessings God has given us down to earth.

  • Opening

Open the windows of your soul and life will enter. Open wide your heart so Divine warmth may enter and you may feel divine joy and exaltation.

  • Liberation

Human liberation does not come mechanically from outside. We have to elevate ourselves to the conditions where our souls may grow and develop correctly.  This is an endless process.  Aspiration towards awakening and liberation, this is a collective process,  an aspiration of all conscious being  The love of God liberates people from their limitations.

  • Clapping

The completed path, the rising truth, and the perfected life are to the sage, joy, gladness and peace, happiness, blessedness and goodness.

  • Purification

Absolute purity, absolute light and absolute freedom must reign among you.

  • Flying

The person who enters the Divine world has their consciousness broaden. They pass from the state of the caterpillar to the state of the butterfly. From limiting conditions to life of freedom.

Looking forward to dancing Paneurhythmy in Meaford on Wednesday mornings.  Please contact me if your want to attend to learn this awesome dance of  awakening, renewal and harmony.

I love the thoughts of Joseph Campbell ~

“People say that what we’re seeking is a meaning for life.
I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking.
I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive,
so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.  Joseph Campbell

The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe,
to match your nature with Nature”. Joseph Campbell

I love dancing Paneurhythmy, a rhythmic dance exercise,  as it assists us through movement and music to ‘match’ our nature and rhythm with the cosmic rhythms.  It helps us to experience ‘the rapture of being alive’ and to live in a holistic way. There are lots of videos on YouTube about Paneurhythmy.  I learned the steps by dancing along with the videos.  We have a group in Meaford that will be meeting weekly outside when the weather warms.  For March and April, we will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the MSV Community Centre at 8:45 a.m – 9:45 a.m.  Please join us!

Please note, I am now using my married name – Jane Robertson. However, my author name is still ‘Jane Rosalea Booth’.

Peacefully, Jane

I felt so blessed today as I walked in the brillant sunshine.  I soaked in the rays and gave thanks for their radiance, for the gift of life, for the love I receive.  I walked along the shoreline of Georgian bay and through the nearby woods.  The beauty of nature touched my heart – the tall pines, the snow with animal tracks, the sparkling snow, the floating ice and rippling waves far out from the shore – the music of the wind high in the trees – ahhhh…so much to enjoy and be grateful for all the blessing of nature every day.

I thought of Ginger our dog who passed in December and it felt as though she had joined my walk.  I looked ahead on the trail and saw a large dog, much larger than our Ginger was, bounding towards me.  He was the same colour as Ginger and part poodle/golden retreiver mix.  He came to see me and greeted me and then he sat in front of me and we had a great visit.  His guardian allowed me to give him a treat.  He ‘woofed’ to say thank you!  I smiled all the way home.

Isn’t it wonderful how life manifests exactly what we need in each moment.

I hope you will take some time to be in nature and experience a deep connection and oneness with all life.  We have much to learn from the beauty, harmony and symmetry in nature.

Sometimes advertisers get commercials right.  Take a moment to view this BBC commercial.  It’s quite stunning!

In challenging times, nature is always there to comfort us with its beauty.  It shows us symmetry, balance and harmony.  Everything has meaning and purpose. I spent time this morning in my garden with the fresh morning breeze blowing on my face.  What a blessing nature is.

There is no end to God’s unconditional love energy so give yourself permission to accept as much of it as you want as often as you like.  Take a nice deep breath in and feel a flow of love enter your heart.  Fill your heart until it feels like it is overflowing with love and allow that love to flow into every cell in your body.  Breathe in and when you breathe say ‘ah’.  Feel your body and mind relaxing and calming.  Feel a sense of love flowing through you.Take a moment to be thankful for God’s love that is always constant, ever present. Now, throughout your day share this love with each person you meet.  You do not have to say a word. Your warmth and compassion will be felt and a smile will brighten up their day.

If you are having difficulties, this is a great way to lift your spirits.  Love is the key to our well-being.  Letting go of our anger and resentments, even for short periods, will help you to heal. Eventually, they will dissolve and your will feel peace.  Healing is a process of loving ourself and connecting with Spirit. So soak up some love today and return that love too.  Create a circle of receiving and giving love.  Be gentle with yourself and enjoy your day in many ways.

I think I’ll spend some time in nature and soak up the beauty of the woods and water.  God’s love is found everywhere…outside and inside of us.

Enjoy this wonderful video “Your Natural State”

Blessing of love,
