December is a season filled with sacredness for many religions. For me, I celebrate the return of longer days of light at Winter Solstice and Christmas, a day to celebrate the birth of light and love…a Christed light that guides me. It is a sacred time to open my heart and be truly grateful for all my blessings. It is a time to connect with my dear friends and gather with my family for precious moments as we open gifts and enjoy delicious meals.

This year my prayers are for all the families who are suffering in wars. I pray for peace and that they will receive food, water and healing support that they need. I envision a world of compassion and love within my heart. We all need to hold this vision for this time to unfold. But there are so many diverse beliefs and politics that are deep from centuries of wars. We each deserve to practice our religions in peace and love, but freedom, tolerance and compassion must be our way to live in harmony.

So Christmas comes with mixed feelings of joys and sadness and with hope and belief that billions of people will live with open hearts to help those in need as they rebuild and begin again…with a new way…a peaceful way. This is my prayer.

May the blessings of the season fill your hearts with love, peace and joy and follow you throughout the New Year,

Peacefully, Jane

Around the world our hearts are in shock and deepest grief as we witness the tragedies from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The loss of so many dear lives brings us all together as countries send aid to assist families who have suffered loss of loved ones and their homes destroyed.

Again we see the power of natural disasters and again the loss of lives leaves us overwhelmed and in extreme shock. Yet we have also witnessed in the past how resilient people are. They don’t give up and somehow they rebuild and continue on with renewed hope even if it takes years.

The federal government will match donations Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross. — up to $10 million — as relief efforts continue in Turkey and Syria following two devastating earthquakes.

You can make a donation online at donate.redcross.ca.

May our hearts join together in prayers of love and compassion for all the families who lost their beloveds. May they all receive the support and assistance they need. May our hearts join in prayer for the beloveds who were taken. May their families find some comfort in knowing they are now in a place of peace. May they feel our love for them.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and of unspeakable love.” ~ Washington Irving

What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” – Helen Keller

This is a holy weekend with Good Friday, Passover and Easter. We also have the sacredness of our full moon with her powerful energies bringing transformation. Powerful winds are blowing…winds of change. There is an uplifting energy that we can embrace!

It is a time of reflection, hope and renewal. As we reflect on our world, we see war and destruction but we also see strength and love of families. We see love and compassion, humanity caring for those in need. There is love spreading around the world in many ways.

Today is a holy day for Christians, Good Friday and for the Jewish faith, it is the beginning of Passover. Both faiths are about freedom, hope for a better life, renewal of community and faith in Spirit to guide us.

Whatever your belief or faith is, may we join together with open hearts…

May our hearts fill with gratitude…for our beloveds, our blessings, for life each day.

May we fill our heart with forgiveness…for all the tragic deaths past and present. May the grieving receive support, justice and love and healing.

May we find strength in our ‘faith’ and trust in a Universal love and light…a God/Goddess/Creator…whatever you believe…and align ourselves within our hearts with Spirit through prayer, meditation, sacred rituals, time in nature…soaking in the beauty of our Grandmother moon.

Spring shows us this hope and renewal with its new buds and flowers poking through the earth. Religions and sacred holy teachings also reveal light and love that is always present. In these sad and grieving times that we are all experiencing, we need this loving spiritual support. We need to support one another.

As our hearts open on these holy days, may our faith and light support us to move forward with courage to have new views or try something new…to walk a new pathway in shining light and love!

May our lives continue to grow and evolve in magical and wondrous ways,

Happy Easter, Happy Passover,

Happy full moon blessings,

Peacefully, Jane

Sweet words on this beautiful spring morning from “The Little Flower”.

A prayer attributed to St. Therese of Lisieux:

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

St-Theresa of Lisieux was known for her “little way” philosophy of serving God by doing small things. Her most famous recent namesake, who may soon also be beatified, is of course Mother Teresa, the Albanian-born Indian missionary who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.
Mother Teresa is quoted as saying:
We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.

From Wikipedia:

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (January 2, 1873 – September 30, 1897), or Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, O.C.D., was a French Discalced Carmelite nun. She is popularly known as “The Little Flower of Jesus” or simply, “The Little Flower“.

st therese

Thérèse has been a highly influential model of sanctity for Roman Catholics and for others because of the “simplicity and practicality of her approach to the spiritual life.” Together with St. Francis of Assisi, she is one of the most popular saints in the history of the church.[2][3][4] Pope Pius X called her “the greatest saint of modern times.”[5]

Grateful for this young woman’s beauty and simplicity of her way.

Peacefully, Jane

“Our life is love, and peace, and tenderness; and bearing one with another, and forgiving one another, and not laying accusations one against another; but ‘praying for one another,’ and helping one another up with a tender hand.” (Isaac Penington, 1616-1679, Quaker)

Helping Friends and Family Heal

By Marianne Zinn-Kuwabara

Do you have loved ones going through emotional trauma or physical illness; you are not a trained healer and you are wondering how to help?  Well, the good news is that everyone can help others heal.

Who does the Healing?

Healing techniques are very much like concentrated and focussed prayer.  The best healers know that they are the source of the healing energy, but are the conduits.  The healing energy runs through them to the recipient.  The energy is offered, and the recipient heals him/herself to his/her highest good.

How do I start?

There are some things that make the process much more effective.  The first is to choose a special place for your healing.  It seems that healing energy flows more easily in a place where it is frequently used.  Scientists are now finding that sacred spaces do indeed create some kind of special atmosphere that facilitates energetic connections.

Getting in the mood

It is important that the healer prepares for the event.  The healer must be calm, peaceful, even blissful in order to be of the most assistance.  Trained healers are taught that healing from a tired or distressed state is not only unhelpful, but may even be detrimental to the recipient.  In order to achieve this state of peace, the best practice is daily meditation.  However, even without this practice, one can prepare oneself for healing.  Some people find soft, soothing music of assistance; others prefer total silence.  Begin in meditation, whatever that means to you.

Take your time.  Relax, close your eyes and wait.  Then think of something that brings you into a state of bliss.  Perhaps it is the remembrance of sitting in your favourite place in nature, perhaps it is the thought of looking up to the night sky in wonder, perhaps it is the face of a loved one.  For those who are religious, it could be the vision of the little Christ Child.  You get the idea.  Sit with this feeling for a while.

Making your statement of intent

Open yourself to Universal Energy.  Allow it to move through you.  This is a feeling of openness, perhaps a prayer.  It is okay to ask for help from whatever powers/beings you believe offers help.  Then, state very specifically in words, silently or out loud, what it is you desire.

The feeling is the prayer

The next step is the most important part.  The laws of physics say that ‘like attracts like’.  It also says thought and belief affect the outcome of experiments.  You must create within your mind and heart the image of your stated intent in its fullness.  See your loved one in full health and wholeness.  Make it as graphic as you can.  Visualize all the details; feel all the feelings.   See the person totally healed and know that because you have created this image, it is already done. Feel your joy at seeing him/her well.  Feel great gratitude for the wholeness.  Spend lots of time enjoying your knowingness and your joy.  Remember, feelings not thoughts create results.  If you sense negative thoughts entering your mind, cancel them.  Focus solely and with great intent on the positive.  This is a celebration.

Surrender

Know that you have helped your loved one in the best way possible.  Now, you get out of the way.  Surrender the results to the power of the Universe and let go of what the outcome will be, or how the outcome will be accomplished.  Give thanks.

Closing Thoughts

Healing works best when your intentions are in alignment with the intentions of the recipient.  It is also best if the recipient is in a calm, restful position when it is happening.  Consider doing your healing work very early in the morning, or late at night when most people are resting.  When a recipient knows you are sending healing to them, that knowledge amplifies their expectation of recovery.  If you feel comfortable, share this method with them.  It can be used on oneself.  Perhaps there are others who would like to join in the endeavour.  The power of each person joining in the same intent amplifies the power at an exponential rate.  That is the wonder of physics and prayer.

A couple of years ago a friend sent me this prayer.  In times of transformation and transits, it’s important to hold your visions and feel the light within as it guides you. This prayer is for your and my gratitude for you visiting my blog.

“May today be all you need it to be.

May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears.

May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced before.

May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered.

I pray that faith enters a new height for you;

I pray that your territory is enlarged,

I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God.“

May you have a peaceful day,

My prayers this morning are for the people of Norway who are mourning the deaths of so many young people.  How inspiring to see the outpouring of love and sympathy by thousands and thousands of people as they gathered peacefully in this time of shock and grieving.  They were joining their hearts in love and showing that a peaceful, society is the way.

When love is our intention, we can heal, forgive and move forward in a stronger, more committed way.  The people of Norway are showing the world how much they love one another and that love will sustain and bring greater freedom for all of us.

Please join with me in prayers for the families who have lost their children.  May they receive the support and comfort that they need at this time.  May the hopes of their children fill our hearts so their dreams will be fulfilled by those who remain.  May their visions of a peaceful, united world unfold.  May the Light of God’s presence be felt, bringing healing and love to all.

In peace,

Jane

This is a lovely prayer I received in an e-mail by the author was unknown.  Those who have explored the teachings of the Tree of Life in my workshops will relate to these words.  These teachings reveal how to have balance and to open to the Light of God and to align ourselves with the will of God.

Tree of Life Prayer

All the power that ever was or ever will be is here now.

I am a center of expression for the primal will to good,

which eternally creates and sustains the universe.

Through me, its unfailing wisdom takes form in thought and a word.

Filled with understanding of Its perfect law,

I am guided, moment by moment, along the path of libertion.

From the exhaustless riches of its limitless substance,

I draw all things needful – both spiritual and material.

I recognize the undeviating justice in all circumstances of my life.

In all things, great and small, I see the beauty of divine expression.

Living from that will, supported by its unfailing wisdom and understaning – mine is the victorious life.

I look forward with confidence to the perfect manifestation of eternal splendour of limitless light.

In thought, word and deed, I rest my life, from day to day, on the sure foundation of eternal Being.

The kingdom of Spirit is embodied in my flesh and within my heart.
